66 John 2030-31. Read these verses carefully to refresh your memory regarding Johns purpose for writing. He wants you to believe that Jesus is the Christ. That is he wants you to believe that Jesus is the Savior who gives eternal life to every single person who believes in Him. Becoming a Christian does not depend on joining a church walking an aisle making some commitment to God or making some change in your life. As you can tell after reading Johns Gospel having eternal life depends on believing in Christ. John guarantees that when we believe that Jesus is the Christ we have eternal life. Have you believed If not what better way to close your reading of this book than by believing in the Savior of whom John speaks the Lord Jesus Christ Chapter 20 Thomas Sees and Believes 24 But one of the Twelve Thomas called Twin was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples kept telling him We have seen the Lord But he said to them If I dont see the nailprints in His hands put my finger into the nailprints and put my hand into His side I will not believe 26 So after eight days the disciples were indoors again and Thomas was with them. Jesus came even though the doors were locked and stood among them. And He said Peace to you 27 Then He said to Thomas Put your finger here and observe My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. And dont be unbelieving but believing 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him My Lord and My God 29 Because you have seen Me Jesus told him you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed Johns Purpose in Writing This Book 30 Jesus actually performed many other miraculous signs in the presence of His disciples which are not written in this book. 31 But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God and that by believing you may have life in His Name.
