The Gospel of John 29 line and from the town of Bethlehem where David lived 43 So there was division among the crowd because of Him. 44 Now some of them wanted to seize Him but no one laid hands on Him. The Leaders Reject Jesus Claim 45 Then the temple police came to the chief priests and Pharisees who said to them Why havent you brought Him 46 The police answered No man ever spoke like this man 47 Then the Pharisees answered them You arent fooled too are you 48 None of the rulers have be- lieved in Him have they Or any of the Pharisees 49 But this mob that doesnt know the law is accursed 50 Nicodemus the one who came to Him at night who was one of them said to them 51 Our law doesnt judge a man before it hears from him and knows what hes doing does it 52 Replying they said to him You arent from Galilee too are you Search and see no prophet has ever arisen from Galilee. 53 So each one went to his house. 8And Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. An Adulteress Forgiven 2 But at the break of dawn Jesus went to the temple courts again and all the people were coming to Him. And He sat down and began to teach them. 3 Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand in the center 4 and said to Him Teacher we found this woman in the very act of adultery. 5 Now in our law Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do You say about her 6 They said this to test Him so that they might have an accusa- tion against Him.
